We reserved in advance which was quick and painless. When looking into things to do when staying in Frankenmuth for a couple of days, the wine and chocolate tour seemed like a popular excursion to choose. It was a fun couple hours and you get on the boat right in town so you don’t have to travel anywhere. The chocolates are made in house and they were very good although I’m not a dark chocolate fan, and you are also able to buy bottles of wine after tour relatively priced. The captain told us about points of interest as we went by and we also seen families of ducks and a lot of river turtles sitting up on logs so that was cool. It’s an hour tour down the Cass River, we had a captain and our wine pourer both of which were college kids, both were very nice and we enjoyed our trip because it was just us and another couple so we had all the attention.Ībout 3/4 of the way thru the tour it started to downpour so we all jumped up and closed the boat panels so we didn’t get drenched, we did it fairly quickly and it was all good seats stayed dry.
We were going to Frankenmuth and I was looking for fun things to do so I found a Wine and Chocolate Boat ride, it was $25 per person for 5 wine tastings paired with chocolates, then a full glass of wine on the boat then when you got off you got 2 more tastings and 2 wine glasses to take home.
